Boots Beauty Haul

I was running low on my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum so decided to head to boots to buy another bottle, but of course whilst I was there things got a little expensive.. Bourjois were having a 3 for 2 offer so of course had buy some other products.. And then Rimmel Match perfection foundation was also on offer. I’m just so easily swayed. I also picked up a few other bits. Exciting times.

I really needed a new blush brush, as I had been using the real techniques contour brush but I had heard some great things about the blush brush. I’ve been using this for a while now and I love it, I haven’t got a bad word to say about any of the real techniques brushes and this one has to be my favourite. I’ve never had a brush that blends blush so evenly onto the cheeks. I have only been using powder blush so I am also looking at a stippling brush for cream blushes.

I had been using shade 56 but I couldn’t find it in either Superdrug or Boots so decided to go for shade 55, I do find with Bourjois foundations they do tend to oxidise on the skin and go slightly darker which is fine for me so the shade has been find. At £10.99 I do think it is pricey but it lasts for a good few months which is great considering I use it every single day.

Considering it was 3 for 2 I thought it would be good to try out another foundation from the Bourjois range. I had heard great things about the 123 perfect range. I picked this one in shade 56. I haven’t used it yet but I am looking forward to it – I tried it out on my hand and I really didn’t know it was so runny, but I prefer that to the more drier ones. If that even makes any sense.

The item that I ended up picking up for free is the Delice de Poudre bronzing powder – or chocolate bronzer. I do like a good bronzer but more so for contouring. Although this one has shimmer to it, it blends out quite easily so It isn’t as so apparent when you contour, and like most other powders it is pretty easy to build up. The colour is quite light which I prefer to use as a everyday contouring colour and usually something darker for an evening.

The Rimmel mach perfection foundation was also on offer for £4.99 and I had heard a lot about it so thought it would be good to try out. I picked up shade 200 soft beige and on the first day of wearing it I did find it collected into a lot of the dry areas of my skin. So I’m looking forward to try it out when my skin is a bit better.

Since I’ve been filling in my brows I’ve also needed a clear mascara, I had been using the fixing gel from Look Beauty and as it had finished I picked up this natural collection one from Boots and it was £1.99 . Having used this every day It has been great. It isn’t a hugely thick formula so it doesn’t come out clumpy but it has been good enough to keep my brows in place.

I haven’t done an in depth review for any foundation yet so look our for a few of them over the next few weeks!
