Wedding Diary #17 Chanel No5

This is probably going to seem like my most random wedding related post but I had to dedicate an entire post to the Chanel No5 Perfume. For a really long time I was looking for the perfect wedding day scent and I just didn’t know what to go for. One of my all time favourites is Opium by YSL. But considering this also a favourite of my mums I didn’t want us to both be wearing the same thing. (Yes I am that picky!) I wanted something iconic that would last well but also smell quite rich and opulent. Chanel No5 has been on my wishlist for a very long time and it seemed like the perfect time to purchase this. I love everything from the branding, packaging and of course the smell. It’s such an iconic scent and I knew it would be so fitting for the wedding day. I decided to go for a 50ml bottle as of course this is quite expensive but I also knew that it would fit in my clutch bag too.

I’m really glad I went for this over anything else in the end, especially as I have had wanted it for so long. I’m so excited about it that I actually can’t wait to be wearing it on the wedding day. I just think it smells divine. I really don’t see this as an every day scent so I’ll be keeping this for special occasions I think. I love that whenever I wear it I’ll also be able to associate it with the wedding day. What’s on your perfume wishlist?

  1. My mom always wears Chanel No. 5, so I probably wouldn’t wear it on my wedding day, but I would definitely wear something Chanel. Anything to make the day even more special!

    1. Chanel perfumes are just so beautiful, they make me feel a million dollars! And yes – exactly why I didn’t go for YSL because it’s my mums fave.. haha x

  2. Mmmm Chanel No. 5, it’s great smelling today, despite the numerous reformulations. The current one smells strongly of iris. I much prefer the vintage versions and would recommend you to try them, if you can get a hold of any 🙂
