I love online shopping a little too much, especially as I don’t get get enough time to spend hours on end in shops. I was however very excited to take some time out of my day to visit Blush Beauty Box (they also have a website!) I’ve never come across a store like this before, they stock everything from Rimmel, L’Oreal, Essie, Mavala, Bare Minerals, TheBalm, China Glaze, Bourjois, Sleek, Burts Bees, Zoya and Mii Cosmetics – to name a few. It’s such a refreshing change from just visiting Boots or Superdrug. The store is based in the center of Loughborough. As I work quite close to the shop I decided to nip in at lunch with Jigna. It’s safe to say we were beyond excited. Having checked out the website before hand I knew I wanted to try some China Glaze nail polishes and a blush from TheBalm. I didn’t really like the blushes as much as I thought because the colours weren’t right for my skin tone, instead I ended up picking up a gorgeous bronzer.
As I’ve never tried any polishes from China Glaze and the choice of colours was pretty overwhelming I decided I would need to be logical about it. I picked Roguish Red, although it’s actually orange, as a colour for my pre wedding party outfit. It’s not too bright and not too pale either, it just seemed perfect. The other shade I got was Beach Cruise-r which I also posted about for #ManicureMonday. I’m yet to try the orange one but the pinky purple one is beyond amazing. I’ve never had a colour like it and it’s a favourite already. You can pick up China Glaze polishes for £4.95 from the Blush Beauty Box website.
As I mentioned my second purchase came in the form of this amazing bronzer from TheBalm. I bought this on a total whim after Jigna swatched it on her hand – I’m not lying when I say it looks a lot like Gold Deposit by MAC once it’s swatched. It is so lovely. The formula is so soft and buttery and the colour is amazing. I can see why this would easily double up as a eyeshadow too. I can’t wait to start using this. Priced at £14 you can check it out here.
You can visit the Blush Beauty Box store at:
41-43 Ashby Square
But of course you can also shop online : www.blushbeautybox.com
I actually can’t wait to go back when I have bit more time to take a proper look, I know for a fact I’ll be after some more nail polishes. I just need to decide which shades first…
