I recently went to visit the McArthur Glen East Midlands Designer outlet. I’d only found out about it quite recently so thought it would be worth checking out, as I usually get bored of shopping in the same places all the time. Overall I think it’s pretty good as they have big brand names such as Nike, Kurt Geiger, Fossil, Fiorelli and Boss, to name a few. They also have the usual, Next, M&S and Gap too, so there is a real variety. The place that I was most looking forward to going was the beauty outlet. I really had no idea what to expect but it was pretty close to makeup heaven. They stocked brands like W7, Rimmel, L’Oreal, Essie, OPI, Astor, NYC, D&G, Sally Hansen, Ciate and a few others too.
I wasn’t too fussed about most of the makeup in there as nothing really caught my eye, but the back wall full of nail polishes was amazing. They had Essie nail polishes at £4.99 and OPI at £5.99 which is quite a decent saving. I really couldn’t decide what to go for and I didn’t want to end up going crazy so I opted for the Ciate nail polishes as I’d never tried them before but read some good stuff about them. Both the shades have a slight gold shimmer running through them so I thought they were quite different.
I’m really getting into nail stickers so I picked up 2 packed of them, plus some Sally Hansen ones too which actually have nail polish painted onto them which I’ve never seen before. It’s a gold glitter, and considering glitter is a pain to get off your nails I thought these would be a quick fix. And finally I picked up a L’Oreal superliner, unfortunately they didn’t have it in black so I opted for brown instead, but I really liked the packaging, so that’s okay right? And at £3.49 it was a bargain.
