I have to say I go through phases with my skincare, I’ll either have a intense routine with a few products I love or a pretty laid back routine which probably doesn’t resemble much of a routine because I’ll only follow it when I’m bothered. Lately I’ve been taking a real interest in my skincare routine. My main focus at the moment is to have flawless skin for the wedding, of course I’m being optimistic because It’s unlikely my skin will ever be completely flawless, but I want it to to be at it’s best.
I’ve had a few Body Shop hauls along with some other skincare lately so I thought it was time to share some of my recent skincare favourites and some new products that I’ve been really surprised with.
It’s only been a few days since I mentioned the Rose Cleanser by Una Brennan and I tend to be one of those people who falls in love with a product instantly. I think that first impressions are so important and there has been many occasions when I’ve tried a product for a week or two and it does nothing. Then on the other hand there is products that work instantly for my skin. This cleanser has to be one of them. I know I keep bringing up the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish but I actually find that this is working better on my skin, and it’s a fraction of the price. Major love for Una Brennan!
I’d have to say it’s probably been just over a year since I first started using La-Roche Posay and I can’t say a bad thing about the brand. When I first started using the Effaclar K and then moved onto the Duo my skin had really began to transform. I went from having frequent breakouts to just the odd spot here or there. The two products from the brand that I think really stand out is the Effaclar Duo+ and the Effaclar A.I Targeted Corrector which together have really changed my skin. The duo keeps the breakouts to a minimum and the A.I really targets those pesky little spots that appear when you least expect them. It’s incredible to see just how much my skin changed since using these.
I originally fell in love with Bioderma when the beauty blogging world was going crazy for it, the original bottle with the pink top was talked about so much I knew I had to have it. I think I got through two of those 500ml bottles and couldn’t stop raving about how much I loved Bioderma. I never actually knew that the brand had different ranged depending on your skin time. I decided to give the micelle solution from the Sebium range a go, which was targeted at blemish or acne prone skin. I didn’t really find that I loved it as much as the original and was pretty disappointed. When I finally finished that bottle I started researching the Hydrabio range and realised there was another version of the micelle solution that was for dehydrated skin. I knew I had to give it a go. The first time I used it I knew it was perfect for my skin, it felt like I was using moisturiser to remove my makeup and my skin felt so good afterwards. I know for a fact I’ll be stocking up on this. I’ve also been loving something else from Hyrdrabio range too.. watch this space.
