My love for Illamasqua is always growing, and they have to be one of my favourite brands, especially when they put on amazing sales. I had been wanting to try one of their cream pigments for a while, really just out of curiosity. When I saw they had this cream pigment in the colour ‘Emerge’ on sale for £7.50 I just couldn’t resist any longer. I had heard so many amazing things about it but the thing that really caught my attention was the number of people who said this worked as an amazing corrector for dark circles under the eyes. The colour seemed quite pinky and I really questioned whether it was going to work for me but after reading a lot of reviews I was convinced it was worth trying.
When it arrived and I swatched it, it really did feel very dry which worried me, but then at the same time I knew that my Illamasqua concealer was just as drying and that with a lot of the cream products you really needed to warm the product up. When I got home and decided to give this a go under my eyes a took a bit of product on the back of my hand and warmed it up slightly before applying it my under eyes. After worrying the colour was going too pink I couldn’t believe how well it worked, the pigment blended into my skin covering the darkness and giving a really nice subtle highlighting effect. The pigment almost disappears as you start blending but it makes such a difference.
My collection lasting perfection concealer has taken a back seat whilst I’ve been enjoying using this purely because this corrects and conceals. It doesn’t give the most amazing coverage but in all honesty I don’t know how, but it just works wonders under your eyes. I also use a little bit of it on any other darker areas on my face including around my nose and mouth.
I can see this becoming a bit of a holy grail product to be honest, I haven’t stopped using it since it arrived and once again Illamasqua have proved what an amazing brand they are. You can shop the Illamasqua cream pigments here.
