I’m always incredibly excited whenever Illamasqua has a sale, especially as some of the first ever items I bought from them were in the sale. It was a great opportunity to try their products and it pretty much started a ever growing obsession. The sale has 4 categories, £5, £7.50, £10 and perfume, which means you can get some amazing products at great prices. There had been a few products that I had been thinking about purchasing so it was great to see them in the sale.
Lipstick in Immodest – Sale price £7.50 – usual price £16.50
I love the formula of Illamasqua lipsticks, having purchased the shade Sangers last year, it is my go to red lipstick, even without lip liner the colour lasts all day and doesn’t bleed. I wanted to try Immodest when it came out with one of their collections but I wasn’t sure it would suit. It looks incredibly bright but when I swatched it, it came out a much softer pink which I loved.
Nail Varnish in Harsh & Grab – Sale price £5 (Spartan and Throb Duo £10) – usual price £14.50
I have to admit I do have a soft spot for Illamasqua packaging, which probably doesn’t come as a surprise. Their nail polishes always look so good and although a little on the pricey side, I have to admit I do love the formula and also the choice of the colours. It’s always worth picking up some shades in the sale and at £5 you can’t go wrong!
Powder Blusher – Hussy – Sale price £7.50 – usual price £18
I adore Illamasqua blush, I’ve never tried blush that is so pigmented and has such a fine texture that blends into your skin flawlessly. The colour pay off is incredibly you honestly need the smallest amount. I had the shade ‘Beg’ already and I’ve used it so much, it’s such a wearable colour and you can build up the colour as much or as little as your like. Hussy is much brighter but I just couldn’t resist. Considering blush is normally £18 I thought it was well worth picking up in the sale.
Cream Pigment in Emerge – Sale price £7.50 – usual price £17.50
Although I had heard a lot about the cream pigments I wasn’t really sure it was going to be for me, but when I started looking more into them and finding out what other people said about them I realised that I needed to try them. When I read reviews for this one a lot people mentioned that they really loved using this to conceal dark under eye circles and that the peachy tone really worked more as corrector. I took the plunge and decided to go for it, and it’s the one product that I’ve been using everyday since I got it. When I initially swatched it on the back of my hand I wasn’t sure at all but when I used it under my eyes I really was blown away, I haven’t used anything else under my eyes since. Such an amazing and versatile product. Love it.
