For as long as I can remember I have only ever used liquid eyeliner.. I’ve gone from the Rimmel Exaggerate, various Avon ones, Collection and lately the Illamasqua precision liner so a while back during one of my elf hauls I thought I would give this Studio Cream Eyeliner a go. I was far too excited when I got it, but the brush it came it with was pretty useless, and at the time I didn’t have a decent eyeliner brush, so after 1 or 2 uses I just put the cream eyeliner to the back of my drawer and didn’t think twice about using it.
As mentioned in my last post I recently got my hands on the Real Techniques starter set and when I saw the liner brush I knew I had to give this cream eyeliner another go. It’s fair to say I haven’t touched my liquid liners since. Although I have a lot of love for the Illamasqua precision ink the one thing that I didn’t always love was that it looks very glossy on the eyes, even when it is dry it still looks overly glossy which is why I have so much love for the cream eyeliner. It is incredibly pigmented but so soft and creamy and the colour pay off is amazing. Combined with my new liner brush I’ve been wearing this liner pretty much every day. It goes on so easily and stays put all day (Considering its about 7am when I put it on and well past 9pm when I come to take it off!) It has the perfect matte finish which I love, and of course with the Real Techniques liner brush you can create the finest line or a bold dramatic look.
I’m so glad I started using this again, I can see this becoming one of my go to products. I’m even tempted to pick up some more shades. I guess it makes me realise sometime you can miss out on a great product if you don’t have the right tools. Prices at £3.75 I think it’s great value and I can see this lasting a really time, especially as you need the smallest amount. Probably one of my favourite elf purchases in a long time!
