Room Tour

So as I’m back home I decided to do a quick room tour.. As my room is tiny this honestly didn’t take long at all. I spent ages trying to organise my room and I’m finally happy with it. So here goes..

Having the box room (again) I really needed to make the most of the space in my room.. as I have the most stuff and the smallest room it’s quite a tight squeeze. Overall I’m really happy with the way things are positioned and to be honest there isn’t really much scope to move things around.

My prints are from Fedrigoni and the smaller ones in the black frame are designed by Six. I always prefer to have other work on my walls rather than my own.

Obviously as a lover of typography I would have Ikea bed covers with the alphabet on them. As you do.

It provides so much storage but unfortunately I don’t think I’ve utilised it to it’s full potential. I have a lot of stuff and really struggle to organise everything.

So my dressing table which is a glass console table from Amazon, cost £140 which I do think is pretty expensive but it was the only piece that fit in the tight space. I love that it is quite contemporary but I do hate the fact that it does get dirty quite quickly especially with all my makeup. I’m looking for a small stool but I’m yet to find anything I like.

I used to have two of these stationary holders on here but I decided to put everything I use the most and the rest into my drawer as I felt the dressing table was just getting too cluttered really. I’m going to do a separate post on my current everyday makeup.. other wise this post would end up being seriously lengthy.

I picked up this white basket from Sainsburys and it hold all of my essential skincare products. I love that it’s quite high so it does keep everything covered but I can still just about see what’s in there. It’s a little messy but yeah it’s impossible to keep organised all the time.

On the right hand side of the table I have a white stationary holder from Wilkinsons which I keep all of my main face brushes in, the smaller ones I keep in the white basket. And yes I need to wash my brushes. I also have a Ikea mirror, which I don’t really love so I’m thinking about investing in a new one although I’m not too sure what kind of mirror would suit the room.. suggestions? And finally I keep my perfumes there.

After finally collecting my remaining work from university I decided to keep this framed print I did in the window.. I thought it was quite fitting.

Most of it is concealed in the glossyboxes in the top left corner and then the products that I reach for every now and then are all visible. I found that had all my blushes and lip products out all the time and really I go through phases so I can still switch up my makeup rather than having it all out on my table all the time. And yes I have an excessive amount of nailvarnish. Ooops.

  1. You did a great job maximizing the space of your room! I love that your vanity is in front of the window. It gives a view while doing your makeup :))
