YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick | The spending ban was well worth it!

The YSL Lipstick was the product that I really wanted, and now the spending ban was over, I couldn’t wait to get one! I ordered mine from feelunique.com and was quite lucky that they also had 10% off.. Every little helps! After a lot of deliberation I opted for shade 17 ‘Rose in Tension’ It was between this and a more nude colour, but I wanted something a little bit different.

I wont lie when I say I wanted the lipstick for the packaging more than anything, to me it’s like gold treasure.. I had heard so many good reviews about the lipstick, and I went out of my way to do a hell of a lot of research before I took the plunge and spent £21 on it. The lipstick retails at £24.50 So I was quite glad I was able to get a few pounds of it.

The smell is amazing, a bit like watermelon, quite refreshing! I swatched the colour on my hand and then tried it on, and it’s safe to say I was blown away. Having never used a high end lipstick I think the moment was quite heavenly. The colour pay off is incredible and so glossy, but it doesn’t at all feel sticky. I love it. I really do. I’m glad I didn’t go for a more natural colour as I probably would end up using it too often (as daft as that sounds!) I’m looking forward to keeping this for special occasions. Would I buy another one? Yes, yes I would. Is it something I’m going to go out and purchase tomorrow? No. To me this product is something thats a luxury, I wont just go out and buy it in 3 colours, it’s something I’ll save for. I’ve got my eye on some colours, so when the time comes I’ll buy another one, but it wont be any time soon.
