When MUA reached 50,000 ‘Likes’ on Facebook, they promised that they would have a 50% off sale AND free delivery – there was a minimum spend of £30, which of course makes sense. I was pretty excited about the offer even though I know how cheap their products are anyway. I knew it would give me the chance to try out a range of new products. I ended up spending £30 and of course with the discount it came to £15.
Of course it was inevitable that there would be a load of problems with the promotion and the site did end up crashing on several occasions – one of which was when I placed me order. However the MUA team were incredibly helpful and having got in touch with them even though I thought my order hasn’t been processed they got back to me pretty quickly to let me know that my order would be shipped asap.
The promotion was incredible but at the same time it was incredibly frustrating seeing people being rude and ignorant on the Facebook page, leaving hate comments and having a good moan. At the end of the day it’s make up. You won’t die without it. I appreciate your money might have been taken but all you had to do was fill in the contact form and wait for a response instead of intimidating the MUA team over Facebook.. (Sorry, rant over)
So yeah, here is what I got..
I was pretty annoyed with myself that I had ended up picking up two lipsticks that are quite shimmery, but I guess I’ll have to make them work. I was pretty excited for the Pro base makeup fixing mist and having used it a few times I really like it. It keeps my makeup set a lot longer than usual and I actually prefer it to the e.l.f one. My favourite purchases have to be the mascara and the metallic eyeshadow quad. The eyeshadows are so pigmented and are really gorgeous. I’m going to try a smokey eye with them as there is a lovely purple colour which is quite deep. I’ll be doing full reviews of the products as I start using them – but I can already say I LOVE the mascara. Amazing.
Pro base makeup fixing mist / Extreme metallics quad / Cream blusher – yummy / Lipsticks in shade 2, 5 and 12 / Nail varnish in shades 1 and 12 / Nail constellation in Scorpio / Mosaic bronzer – shade 1 natural glow / extreme felt liner in black / Magnetic nails in piccadilly circus / Powder blush in shade 4 / Hide and conceal cover up stick / extreme curl mascara.
So in total I got 15 products for £15. Can’t go wrong really. I also found out this week the MUA have released a eyeshadow palette that is a dupe for the naked 2.. Totally picking that up when it’s in Superdrug. Already seen a range of swatches and it looks amazing. I’m pretty excited.
